Our Home Away From Home

I’m the first to admit that what most people would call roughing it is not what we’ve been doing this month.

Like so many other RV-ers, my desire to get away from it all is exceeded only by my need for movies, video games, heat, air conditioning, and (sometimes) an Internet connection. Since we’ve been on the road nearly a month, it doesn’t hurt at all to have many of the comforts of home. The trailer has held up fantastically, and aside from a couple of dripping leaks in the sink strainers, the only thing that has gone wrong with the trailer was my fault.

Leaving Bryce I forgot to check the air in the tires and went all the way to Goose Lake before discovering that one was all the way down to 20 lbs. instead of the recommended 50. The outside treads were beginning to shred and separate from the tire. I don’t think we would have made it to La Pine on that tire, so I swapped it with the spare.
